Hassle-Free and Convenient

Robotic Parking is Making the Future of Parking a RealityWhenever we get in our vehicles and drive to a location, we inevitably have to stop driving at some point and park. What if there was the option to have a technologically advanced, hassle-free parking experience over the typical, usually irritating and normal parking experience? Most of us would choose the hassle-free option for the opportunity to avoid the frustration that normal parking can cause.

The fact that the vehicle can be parked robotically is just an added bonus.

Robotic parking systems are advanced parking schemes that use hydraulics and mechanisms to move a vehicle to a specific space. This generally involves stacking or maneuvering the vehicle into a small area to make the best use of available parking area. Traditional parking schemes are outdated and frustrating. New technologies have been developed alternatives to the "parking garage” ideas of yesterday due to:
  • The expense of creating a large parking garage can be staggering
  • Environmental concerns with using large plots of land
  • The difficulty adding additional parking after unit is constructed
Forward thinking by innovative parking system companies have led to systems being developed that solve all of these issues while also adding a touch of coolness to the normal parking experience. Robotic parking systems remove the wasted space necessary with parking garages for patrons to retrieve their vehicles (such as walkways, stairwells, ramps, etc.) and instead focus more on using the available space as much for actually storing vehicles as possible. This type of thinking results in parking products that are incredibly efficient and versatile.

Many Different Options

The number of robotic parking system options available today makes it easy to solve any parking requirements on any scale. Most of the systems are customizable to further enable them to be used in interesting and unique ways. Klaus Multiparking is the biggest company to develop and implement these robotic parking systems in the world today.

There are systems that use pallets which are basically moving platforms to move vehicles to a specific location on the same level. Some systems use turntables to maneuver vehicles, while others use stacking mechanisms to move vehicles to different levels. These systems all each designed to handle a specific volume of vehicles and offer their own differing ease of vehicle retrieval.

Robotic Parking Needed in Toronto
Toronto is Canada's largest city and has the densest population. In the Greater Toronto Area, millions of people flood in and out of the city, congesting roads and parking areas. Parking downtown is most inconvenient, with very specific times and parameters, but it seems not enough places to park.

The hydraulic system outlined in this article would benefit any city dweller. Too often, parking garages are filled to the brim, forcing people to drive aimlessly around looking for spaces and parking illegally - hoping their infraction will go unnoticed. Usually, this is not the case and cars will be towed ruthlessly by local parking authority.

Having such hydraulic parking systems in place will allow for well managed parking lots and garages - and will make parking in congested cities a breeze!
